2 out of 3 Burundians are under 24 years old. Adolescents and young people between the ages of 10 and 24 account for 1/3 of the population. Access to adolescent and youth-friendly reproductive health services can reduce neonatal, maternal and child mortality and promote gender equality and sustainable development in Burundi.
